Deliver a Table Cricket legacy

Table Cricket is delivering a sporting legacy in schools across the UK - empowering disabled young people to fulfil their potential. But we need your help to make sure this impactful work continues as we aim to deliver 1,000 sets of new Table Cricket kit.

Table Cricket is delivering a legacy in schools across the UK, providing thousands of disabled young people the chance to play sport - empowering them to fulfil their potential and build life skills.

But we need your help with donations to make sure the legacy of our impactful work continues for many years to come as we launch a national campaign to provide 1,000 sets of new Table Cricket kit to more than 10,000 young people who would otherwise have no access to sport.

A donation of £500 will cover the full cost of a new kit for a school to deliver thousands of hours of table cricket over its lifetime - but all donations will make a difference to the young people we support.

TV personality Adam Hills has seen first-hand the difference Table Cricket can make: “Table Cricket is an incredible programme that provides so many young people access to sport where they may otherwise not be able to.

"I’ve seen the game in action and it was amazing to how this competitive sport is helping to break down barriers and empowering disabled young people to fulfil their potential. The new equipment will just enhance that and provide so many more opportunities across the whole of the country.”

  • A donation of £500 will cover the full cost of a new kit for a school to deliver thousands of hours of table cricket over its lifetime

  • A donation of £150 will provide a teacher with the relevant training and resources to deliver table cricket year round within their school

  • A donation of £50 will cover the cost for a participant to engage in the national competition, providing opportunities to represent their school and benefit from new experiences

Any donation you can spare will help provide a sustainable legacy for young people to access sport and all the benefits it can bring while making new friends, learning team work and breaking down barriers.

You donation will help support the Lord's Taverners work to break down barriers and empower disadvantaged and disabled young people to fulfil their potential and build life skills across our programmes - including Table Cricket.

In the UK, only 18% of young people with disabilities take part in regular sport, partly due to a lack of opportunity. But Table Cricket is tackling this issue. It is an adapted version of cricket, played on a table tennis table and specially designed to give young people with a disability the chance to play and compete in the sport we all love.

It is a game enjoyed by thousands and with the sport becoming ever more popular and demand growing, so is the need for robust and sustainable equipment to support the game.  Currently, the equipment we use is anything but. It is old and very fragile and, in most cases, held together by sticking tape.

The new kit is completely different. Designed by experts at Robert Gordon University, it is durable, quick to assemble and capable of delivering thousands of hours of development and fun. We want to replace this kit in schools and, where possible, repurpose the old equipment to allow new schools to try the game.
