Wicketz for Girls in Yorkshire
Girls-only Wicketz hubs from Leeds, Bradford and Hull joined at Headingley Stadium for a cricket festival where young people were able to compete, share their experiences and show off their skills.
Young players share their personal experiences, highlighting the supportive atmosphere, skill development, and newfound confidence they gain from being part of an all-female cricket community.
Many of the girls from our Wicketz hubs in Yorkshire were previously hesitant to engage in sports, but after joining Wicketz they have found inspiration and camaraderie in the programme, illustrating the positive impact of increased female representation in cricket.
