Disability cricket to benefit from further £2m investment from ECB

An additional £2million injection over the next two and a half years stands to benefit tens of thousands more children and young people as part of efforts to make cricket the country’s most inclusive sport and address barriers highlighted in the recent report by the Independent Commission for Equity in Cricket (ICEC).

The Lord’s Taverners Wicketz programme has received a huge boost in the form of a £50,000 grant from the Garfield Weston Foundation, which will help fund the expansion of a youth voice platform at each of the charity’s 17 Wicketz projects that puts young people from disadvantaged communities at the heart of the continued delivery of Wicketz.
