Champions Speakers Agency partnership continues to grow
The Lord’s Taverners partnership with the Champions Speakers Agency continues to go from strength to strength with a number of events and activities planned through the year that will help us reach out to a wider audience, securing essential support for our fundraising endeavours.
The Champions Speakers Agency are a family business specialising in the delivery of corporate entertainment. The latest opportunity, in partnership with the agency, is as charity partners for the inaugural Farmfoods European Legends Links Championship.
The golf tournament, broadcast live on Sky Sports on 20-23 June is set to showcase some of golf's greatest names, including event host and former Ryder Cup captain, Ian Woosnam. Taking place at the prestigious Trevose Golf & Country Club in Cornwall, the highly-anticipated occasion will be a wonderful chance to detail the importance of the work we do on providing opportunities for sport to be enjoyed by all.
In addition to the partnership with the Lord's Taverners, Champions offer a plethora of talent from stage and screen. Able to deliver motivational speakers and keynote speakers capable of rousing all manner of crowds at private, corporate and charity events, they have been beneficial to our efforts to entertain supporters and associates at our events.
We have previously worked with the speakers agency on a number of occasions. This includes them arranging for us to become charity partner at the Business Excellence Awards Essex, as well as become the charity of choice for the 2018 Official Farmfoods European Senior Masters.
In September last year, we collaborated with Champions to deliver a showpiece event at the historic Wormsley cricket ground. Reviving a rich cultural tradition, the event saw a team of literary legends pitted against our very own team comprised of guest rugby speakers and cricket speakers such as Neil Back MBE and Matthew Hoggard MBE, as well as TV presenter Richard Madeley.
The game between the Authors XI and The Lord's Taverners XI was played out in the spectacular sunshine of the Buckinghamshire countryside. It proved to be a great success as guests from all across the UK came for a day of fine dining, fundraising, cricket and entertainment featuring a number of popular sporting and football after dinner speakers.
