Lockdown Lowdown - Cowdrey meets Gower

One of England’s greatest batsmen and most respected broadcasters will be looking back on a career that has spanned six decades on and off the pitch when David Gower is the first interview subject in a our Lockdown Lowdown series – which will be live on the Lord’s Taverners Facebook page on Thursday 7 May from 7pm.

Tune in to watch Gower chat with Chris Cowdrey and reflect on his 117 Test career in which he scored more than 8,000 runs and also enjoyed a spell as captain – while playing with and against some of the biggest characters the game has seen.

The two will be reflecting on the highs and lows of not only his playing career, but also his experiences as one of the best known broadcasters in world cricket… plus there will no doubt be plenty of anecdotes and amusing stories from the two who have shared a lasting friendship.

And you can even submit your own questions to the duo – just fill in the form at the bottom of this page and let us know what you would like to ask.

Watching couldn’t be easier – just access the Lord’s Taverners Facebook live page from 7pm on Thursday 7 May. Then sit back, grab a drink and a few snacks and enjoy the evening.

The evening is free to watch, but with all charitable activity currently suspended, any support we can get during this time would be greatly appreciated and make a huge difference to all the disadvantaged and disabled young people throughout the UK we strive to help every day.

You can make a donation to the charity by clicking here.

The video has now been uploaded to our YouTube channel, to watch click here.
