Appointed Trustees
The Trustees have confirmed three new appointed Trustees to the board, following the interview and selection process undertaken by the nominations committee under Karen Earl.
The new Trustees are:
Andrew McDonald – currently Chair of Scope and a former Trustee of Cure Parkinson’s Trust, Andrew has extensive experience of the disability charity space. Most recently in his professional life he was responsible for setting up the Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority in 2009 following the expenses scandal and is a Companion of the Order of the Bath.
Caj Sohal – currently Head of Sport at Viacom (providing sport output to Channel 5) and founder of TenMonkeys who produce sports documentary content for ITV Sport, BT Sport and the BBC, working closely with FIFA, Nike Foundation and the British Commonwealth Association. Before that he was BBC’s Head of Football from 2002-2008.
Tony Matharu – former Managing Director of Grange Hotels Group, Tony now runs his own business developing new hotels and properties. A long-standing Taverner, Tony is also chairman of the Asian Business Association within the London Chamber of Commerce, was the first patron of the London Indian Film Festival, and is Honorary Secretary to Romany Cricket Club, Vice President of Epsom Sports Club, and heavily involved in his local hockey club. He also plays a key role in the development of London Midtown and the Midtown Business Club.
The above three join the current board of Trustees that comprises:
