What is a Taverner?
Membership of the Lord’s Taverners means different things to different people. We are interested in your views about membership and what it means:
While we are a registered charity, and have been since 1964, we recognise that one of the things that differentiates us from the many charities out there is our membership and how each of us feel about the Taverners and the work we undertake.
The last few years have seen a number of changes within the charity, however we continue to have a strong membership culture. We are looking to gather views of our members on what it is that characterises that culture for members across the UK.
Membership of the Lord’s Taverners means different things to different people and we would be interested to hear your thoughts. Please feel free to let us know yours – and to help you get started we have provided some initial prompts:
- Why am I a Taverner?
- What benefits do you get from membership and what additional benefits would you like to get?
- Are ‘benefits’ important or not?
- What would you like to change to attract new members?
- What do you think is our ethos - the ‘glue’ that holds us together?
- What are you proud of, and what frustrates you about the Taverners?
Please email your thoughts to membership@lordstaverners.org
