Wicketz hubs unite at Edgbaston for youth voice workshops

Young people who attend Wicketz in Manchester, West Midlands and Leicester took part in a competitive tournament and youth voice workshops at Edgbaston during the Christmas break.

In the summer, our yearly Wicketz residential festival gives young people who live in areas of deprivation across the country the opportunity to compete, meet new friends and take part in valuable life skills workshops. As participation numbers continue to grow yearly, there has been the demand for more inter-hub competitions and chances to play competitive cricket alongside their peers. So, during the school break, participants who attend Wicketz hubs in Manchester, West Midlands and Leicester were given the platform to express their thoughts on their community in 'youth voice' workshops and took part in a hotly contested tournament at Edgbaston.
